Heavy rain reduces pollen

August 29, 2013 3:35 pm

With the heavy rains in the Western Cape, normal Spring pollen and mould trends have been reversed. Cypress tree pollen levels haven’t shown their seasonal rise and mould spores have also been “washed out” of the air. But levels are expected to rise rapidly when the weather improves, so Beware the rush is coming and the hay fever season is not far off. We will be monitoring trends on our home page in our “South African Pollen & Allergen Calendar”  See www.pollensa.co.za for details.
