New European legislation which took effect on 13th December will ensure that ALL UK food outlets and caterers must supply lists of ingredients and the 14 major food allergens must be labelled. These include dairy, gluten in cereals, egg, soy, fish, shellfish (crustaceans and molluscs) peanuts, tree nuts as well as sulphur dioxide, mustard seed, celery, sesame seed and lupin flour.
